Get your money in to gilly for the christmas social its gonna be huuuuge!! - Regionals was a great experiance this year, we won plate and came 13th out of 26 teams, alough disapointed that we were better than allot of the teams above us, we gave our all. A tough first day meant that we couldnt get any higher and we easily won all our sunday games. We just lost out on the beating the 2nd seeds of the whole tournement (leeds) on the 1st day by 3 points to 2. Well done everyone, i always knew we were an outdoor team, lets go take outdoor regionals!! - The Sheffield tournament this weekend was incredible, with teams from all around the country competing for the trophy and guess who won it, HALLAM did!! With sheffield uni nicely seeding us second to last (15th) we had the hardest route out of any team in the competition but still remained unbeaten all weekend and claimed victory in the final over birmingham university 10-1.... Amazing!! ________________________ WE WON WE WON WE WON!!!! Hallam won the Manchester beginners tournement for the 2nd year running proving to everyone that we clearly have the best beginners in the country!! it was an amazing weekend which saw our hallam team unbeated in all 9 games over the weekend!! yet another trophy for hallam ultimate. and whats best is that the other 23 teams from around the country could'nt touch us! Well done everyone. Lets see if the sheffield team can match it!! _________________________ The 1st social of the year was amazing, loads of people came and we had such a great social on our hands as soon as gilly got the 3 pint challenges underway. the next social will be on wed 29th oct!!! start thinking of themes now!! -------------------------------- - It's Beach party themed, its going to be on wed the 8th of oct, after the 2nd outdoor training session Meeting in Cavendish on west street at 8:00pm Going all around west street with loads of drinking games in our beach fancy dress. Get along new members especially!! -2008/9 season Welcome to all the new members of Hallam Ultimate to the 2008/9 season, A new year of ultimate with loads of ideas for socials and everything else you could think of. _____________________________________________________ 07/08 season -Women's Indoor Regionals- The girls show everyone how it's done by finishing 4th and claiming the crown of 2nd best team in the Northern region. They very nearly beat number one team Pies in their quarter final so a good finish at Nationals is certainly on the cards. -Open Indoor Regionals- Hallam finished 7th, beating Phat eds along the way. A couple of drop outs mean the team get a spot at Div 2 Nationals in their first full season. Another 3rd place for the beginners and a 4th place finish from the experienced team despite being Matt Reid's toes away from the final in Sheffield. Our beginner teams came 1st and 3rd at Manchester Beginners. Let's hope the rest of the teams do as well in the next couple of weeks!!
